Temporary Closure of Council Services – Easter Holiday Period

Wentworth Shire Council services will be closed during the Easter public holiday period, with limited exceptions:

  • Friday 18 April (Good Friday) – All Council services closed.
  • Saturday 19 April: All services closed, except Wentworth Visitor Information Centre which will be open from 9am until 1pm.
  • Sunday 20 April (Easter Sunday) & Monday 21 April (Easter Monday) – All services closed except:
    • Wentworth Visitor Information Centre open 9am – 1pm
    • Buronga Landfill open 8am – 4:45pm.

Council services include:

  • Customer Service Centres
  • Buronga Animal Shelter
  • Council Depot, Workshop & Stores
  • Libraries
  • Waste Facilities
  • Visitor Information Centre (including Junction Cafe)

For Council related emergencies, call (03) 5027 5027. For life-threatening emergencies, call 000 (Triple Zero).

Normal services/operating hours re-commence from Tuesday 22 April 2025.
